
Bosanski lonac (recipe)
Bosanski lonac is a traditional Bosnian dish made from meat and vegetables, slowly cooked in a pot. It is perfect for family dinners.Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef or lamb
- 3 potatoes
- 2 carrots
- 1 onion
- 2 bell peppers
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cabbage
- 100 ml vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Bay leaf
Preparation:
- Cut the meat into large pieces and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
- Layer the chopped vegetables and meat in a large pot.
- Add salt, pepper, and bay leaf.
- Pour in water to cover all the ingredients.
- Cover the pot and simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours until the meat is tender.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
