Ingredients:

  • 1 kg lamb (preferably leg)
  • 500 g yogurt
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation:

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onions and garlic until translucent.
  2. Add the lamb and brown it on all sides.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then transfer the lamb and onions to a baking dish.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and yogurt until smooth. Pour this mixture over the lamb.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 1.5 hours.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
