
Zagorski Štrukli (recipe)
Zagorski štrukli is a traditional Croatian dish made from dough filled with fresh cheese. It is light and aromatic, often served as a main dish or appetizer.Ingredients:
- 500 g flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 200 ml water
- 500 g fresh cheese
- 200 ml sour cream
- 1 egg for brushing
Preparation:
- In a bowl, mix flour, eggs, salt, and water to make dough.
- Roll out the dough thin and evenly.
- Spread cheese over the entire surface of the dough.
- Roll the dough with cheese into a roll and cut into pieces.
- Place the pieces on a baking tray, brush with sour cream and egg.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
