Popečke are traditional Balkan meat patties loved for their crispy crust and juicy interior. Here's how you can make Popečke at home.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g ground meat (beef, pork, or mixed)
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried seasoning
  • Oil for frying

Preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground meat, finely chopped onion and garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and dried seasoning. Mix until the mixture is well combined.
  2. Shape small patties from the mixture to your desired size.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the patties on both sides until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Place the patties on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
